But everyone is talking like he didn't sign Stockdale, Roberts and N'Doye before a ball was kicked. Gallagher has played for a month without scoring. We signed players in tranches... not all in one go. None of the signings at any stage have made a difference to the outcome of a game. We still lose. We still get battered and roll over easy. So why sign and waste money on Stockdale, Roberts and N'Doye? I am surprised and I think Harry probably (?) could have turned it around and gained us promotion. I don't think he'd achieve that this season as he lost the dressing room and some of his core signings (the defenders) have been useless. I said beforehand that you have to be wary with Harry and transfer budgets, he gets excited and plays like he's on the Football Manager video game. So many defensive signings and yet without any impact, defence is as weak as it was before. It's the same with Koeman at Everton. He's spent and changed nothing. £140m and didn't even get a decent forward. Just like us, same points tally too. He's probably the next victim. As an outsider I think it's justified providing he doesn't get results in the next few games... If anything I feel the sacking was a few games too early, but not unjustified. I didn't want him to be sacked so ruthlessly, to be honest, but something just doesn't seem right. Not sure if he'd lost the respect of the old guard by, basically, telling them all that they're rubbish and not as good as his new players. And then N'Doye plays 8 games, doesn't pull up any trees and still seems to escape Harry's wrath  I do think that this team will come good and once Che and Jota are back then we'll, hopefully, see some goals - unless Karanka gets the job  |

You might all be right - perhaps things wouldn't have turned around with Harry. I'm just so fed up with Blues at the moment. This all feels like the plot of some Thomas Hardy novel, or Shakespeare play, where the first immoral act (of 'killing' Rowett) plays out across all the subsequent relationships until everything ends up in one self-inflicted blood bath. |

Redknap was found out in these early season games for underpreparing the team. He wasted all summer and just because we have signed a load of players at the last minute we are expected to honestly believe that this was all part of a plan! What many fans conveniently chose to ignore in singing his praises for saving us last season is quite simply anybody would have made a difference after the Italian clown, anybody. And we only stayed up because Huddersfield kindly fielded their reserve side against us and didn't try. |

I thought he was going to be great, since he's English and all? Surely better than "some foreign coach"? Eh? English clown better than an Italian clown?

I wouldn't say Harry 'wasted all summer' - I'd say the people negotiating the deals need to take the blame, be it Ren Dong, Dein, Vetere .. Then there's the subject of who was actually deciding on which players we were going after. I'm convinced there was interference from above. |

I miss Harry! Seems along week already. Maybe he wasn't the best after all in terms of helping us win and conquer this league but came across great in the media and more importantly approachable and friendly to us fans and lifted us when looked doomed last season. Anyone who instantly knows the words to keep right on unconnected with the club is impressive too! |

seems we are out of the media spotlight now - is that a good thing? be interesting to see the gate against sheff Wednesday - over 21K against Preston and had to be partly due to Harry effect. Gates were going the right way and if he'd got a couple of wins in the next two/three games i'm sure we'd be touching 23K |

Tom Ross expressed it, as he said, Harry rang him as he drove home, the Saturday he was sacked.... and asked TR to convey feelings to fans etc Which TR did :applause: .....and then his tweets, I think after his brain-engaged like, realised  Brain Engagement allowed Tom Ross to surmise that there may be OTHER reasons for Harry's departure. Good Old Tom, first to the wicket :dancer: ...but still ahead of many supporters.... Keeping his options open like, by being objective for a change ..there you go  |

My take on Harry is he took the job for this season with the best of intentions but his motivation dissipated over the summer because he realised it was not quick fix: he couldn’t bring in his first choices (Crouch, Keane, Cole, Downing), lost Cotterill who did more than his fair share on the training pitch. Slagging off the players may have been a means of deflecting blame but was increasingly self-defeating because insufficient new recruits arrived preseason. |

Yep bgb. :applause: As Cotterill said, he expected Harryman to go upstairs and himself to be No:1 Harry?.... change-of-mind, one last fling, in a "Hero-Mode" ?? Can't get first-choices over the line... too much scrutiny ? Slags players after Burton, loses dressing room ?? Many scenarios can fit, as Harry R rides off into the distance - his tarnished reputaion only slightly bent - Rosies' account slightly strenghtened Blues owners wake up and realise footie is serious.... very serious  |

Imo his heart wasn't in it and who can blame him? He's knocking on, travelled god knows how far each day, he's had a long career and should be enjoying his retirement |
